Camp Staff

 

Camp Director: Amy Rumore

Rumore just finished her first season as the H.B. Plant High School Head Volleyball Coach leading her team to a District Title. She is a Tampa native and has been heavily involved in the club volleyball scene in the area since 2008. Rumore has taught the game of volleyball to girls between the ages of 4 and 18 and has been involved in the organization and execution of many volleyball camps around Tampa.

 

Rumore began playing volleyball at St. Mary’s Episcopal Day School in 1997 until she moved on to Plant High where she was on varsity for all four years, winning two FHSAA State Titles. During this time Rumore played for the organization now known as Tampa United Volleyball Academy. Rumore continued playing volleyball in college at The University of Tampa where her team won the DII National Championship in 2006 . While at UT she was a setter and received her degree in Elementary Education. A few years later she went back to UT to earn a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

 

Away from teaching High School English and coaching at Plant and for Tampa United Volleyball Academy, she is currently planning her wedding to Michael Holloway!

 

Michelle Young:

In 1999 Michelle started her coaching career at Bishop Dunne High School in Dallas, Tx. While teaching the upper level Spanish classes, she took over the volleyball program and became the World Language department chair. Soon after she and her husband designed and implemented Strength and Conditioning programs for all sports at the school. She coached national teams for Victory and Ace Volleyball club while living in Dallas. After having her son and moving to Tampa 3 years ago, she decided to take a step back from teaching in the classroom and focus on her family and coaching and training volleyball athletes. In 2010, she took the position as assistant volleyball coach and strength & conditioning coach at Plant High school. In her spare time she enjoys training and competing in Women's Tri-Fitness competitions and watching her 4 year old son play football.

 

Lauren Bloemke:

Lauren is the current JV volleyball coach for Plant and a head coach for Tampa United Volleyball Academy. During her college career she was a middle hitter for Creighton College.

 

The camps will also staff local college and high school players!
